Jude 1:24–25 (Contemporary English Version)
“God can keep you from stumbling and will bring you before His glorious presence innocent and with great joy. To the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

Historical Background
The letter of Jude is a short but powerful book in the New Testament. It was written by Jude, a brother of James and likely also a brother of Jesus. The letter is addressed to Christians who were facing deception and harmful influences within the church.

At that time, traveling teachers were spreading ideas that mixed the gospel with personal interests. Some people misused the freedom of faith to live carelessly. Jude warns against this.

At the same time, he does not end with fear, but with hope. He points to God’s power. The focus is not on human weakness, but on God’s ability to protect. In a world filled with political pressure, persecution, and social uncertainty, this was a comforting message.

Examples from the Church and Society

In the Church
Even today, believers can become uncertain because of division or wrong influences. Discussions about teaching, authority, or morality can cause confusion. Jude reminds them that God Himself protects.

Throughout history, this remained a central truth. When churches were under pressure, for example during times of persecution, believers drew strength from trusting that God was holding them, even when people failed.

In Society
In society, many people experience insecurity. Think of economic pressure, social tensions, or rapid cultural change. People fear failure or losing their position.

Jude 1:24–25 speaks encouragement in such moments: God is able to keep you safe. You are not alone. Your strength is not decisive — His faithfulness is.

Final Thought
These words are a doxology. Jude looks beyond problems. He lifts his eyes upward. God is powerful, eternal, and trustworthy. That brings peace.

Take This With You
• Do not rely only on your own strength.
• Remind yourself that God protects.
• Fix your eyes on God’s faithfulness instead of fear.
• End your day with gratitude.

In Conclusion
Jude ends with worship. This is not an escape from reality, but a choice to trust. God is able to protect, carry, and restore. Therefore there is hope — yesterday, today, and forever.
