Matthew 6:25–27 (Contemporary English Version)
"I tell you not to worry about your life! Don't worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food or clothing? Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth much more than birds? Can worry make you live longer?"
When worry fills your mind
Everyone worries from time to time. You may be concerned about your health, your family, your work, your finances, or your future. Sometimes those worries become so overwhelming that all your peace disappears. At moments like these, Jesus invites you to look beyond your problems and focus on God's loving care. He knows what you need and wants to fill your heart with peace and renewed trust.
A message that still brings hope today
Jesus spoke these words during the Sermon on the Mount to people who lived with great uncertainty about their daily needs. They often did not know whether they would have enough food, work, or income. Yet Jesus pointed them to the birds and the flowers as examples of God's faithful care. That message is just as relevant today. In a world filled with pressure, worry, and uncertainty, God's love never changes. He knows your life and never forgets you.
God's care is seen in everyday life
In the church, God's care becomes visible when people pray together, encourage one another, and help each other. In everyday society, that same love is seen when a neighbor offers a listening ear, a colleague shows genuine concern, or a volunteer gives time to someone who is struggling. These simple acts remind us that God's love is always near.
Final thought
Perhaps today you are carrying worries that no one else knows about. God knows them all. He invites you to trust Him, one step at a time. Those who place their lives in His hands discover that true peace does not begin when every problem disappears, but when they know that God walks with them every new day.
