"The Lord said: 'Ezekiel, son of man, the people living in Jerusalem are saying about your relatives and the others who have been taken away: "They are far away from the Lord. This land has been given to us as our possession."'
God has not forgotten you
Hope when you feel alone
Perhaps you feel rejected, lonely, or uncertain today. Maybe you are worried about your health, your family, your work, or your future. At times it may seem as though no one sees you. But the words of Ezekiel tell a very different story. People may think you have been forgotten, but God says, "I am still with you." He does not look at your past or at what other people say about you. He looks at your heart. His love never changes, and His faithfulness remains forever.
A mMessage from history
The prophet Ezekiel lived during the Babylonian exile. Many people from Judah had been taken far from their homeland. Those who remained in Jerusalem believed that the exiles had been abandoned by God. But God corrected them. He made it clear that His presence is not limited to one place or one building. Even in a foreign land, He stayed close to His people. He promised restoration, renewed hope, and a future.
He is still close today
Many people today also feel forgotten or left out. This happens in families, at school, at work, and sometimes even within a church. Yet we also see church members visiting one another, praying together, and caring for people who are going through difficult times. Volunteers and caregivers give attention to those who feel lonely. In these everyday acts of kindness, God's love becomes visible.
Final thought
Perhaps you recognize yourself in this story. Then remember that you are never beyond God's reach. Jesus Christ knows your life, understands your sorrow, and stays close to you. His love is stronger than loneliness, and His faithfulness never ends. "I am still with you." That is the message of hope that echoes throughout the Bible.
