Judges 13:8–10 (Contemporary English Version)
"Manoah prayed to the LORD, 'Please send the man of God back to us. We want him to tell us what to do for the boy who is going to be born.' The LORD answered Manoah's prayer..."

God hears the prayers of those who seek him

Perhaps you are facing an important decision and are unsure which way to go. There are moments when you long for clarity, wisdom, and peace. At times like these, God invites you to bring every question to Him. He knows your life, your worries, and your doubts. You do not have to find the way on your own. Sometimes God does not answer in the way we expect, but He never abandons those who sincerely seek Him. He wants to guide you one step at a time.

A prayer that God answered

During the time of the Judges, Israël was living through a troubled period. The people had often turned away from God and were threatened by their enemies. Manoah and his wife also carried the sorrow of having no children. When God promised them a son, Manoah did not ask for wealth or success. Instead, he prayed for wisdom. He wanted to know how to carry out God's calling faithfully. God heard his prayer and gave him further guidance.

This shows that God not only sees our needs but also our desire to do His will. He delights in leading those who place their trust in Him.

God still gives wisdom today

Even today many people are searching for direction in life. In the church, people pray for wisdom for their families, their work, and their faith. In everyday society, people look for guidance when facing illness, loss, unemployment, or difficult decisions. God does not promise that every path will be easy, but He does promise to give wisdom to those who ask Him, courage in difficult times, and the assurance that He will never leave them.

Jesus is our guide

Jesus came to show people the way to God. He knows your life, your worries, and your future. He invites you to trust Him. Through His love we receive forgiveness, peace, and hope. He walks with you, even when you cannot yet see the next step.

Final thought

Judges 13:8–10 reminds us that God listens to those who seek Him. You do not need to have all the answers before you pray. Bring your questions and your worries to the Lord. He hears your prayers, gives wisdom at the right time, and leads you step by step. Those who place their trust in God discover that He always shows the way.
