1 Samuel 12:12–13 (Contemporary English Version)
"But when Nahash the king of Ammon attacked you, you said, 'No! We want a king to rule us,' even though the Lord your God was your King. All right, here is the king you chose, the one you asked for. The Lord has given him to you."

God remains faithful to you

Where can you find real security?

Perhaps you wonder who you can trust when life becomes uncertain. You may look for security in yourself, in other people, or in what you have built. Yet you discover that these things can easily fail. The Bible points to a God who never changes. He knows your worries, your questions, and your desire for peace. Even if you have made wrong choices, He will not let you go. He invites you to trust Him again and to move forward with Him.

A nation that made the wrong choice

The prophet Samuel spoke these words when Israël was afraid of its enemies. The people wanted a human king, even though God was already their King. Out of fear, they trusted people more than they trusted God. Yet God did not reject them. He continued to call them to follow Him with all their hearts. In this way, He showed that His faithfulness is greater than human failure and that His grace always leaves room for a new beginning.

God is still faithful today

Even today, many people look for security in money, work, health, or success. But these things can change. In the church, people experience peace and strength as they place their trust in God. In everyday life, many discover that God's faithfulness gives them stability when plans fail or the future seems uncertain. He gives wisdom, courage, and strength to everyone who seeks Him.

Jesus is our true King

Jesus came to bring people back to God. He does not rule by force but with love, grace, and truth. He invites you to follow Him. In Him you will find forgiveness, peace, and a hope that does not depend on your circumstances.

Final thought

1 Samuel 12:12–13 shows that God remains faithful even when people place their trust in something else. Today He invites you to place your life into His hands. His love never changes, His faithfulness never fails, and His guidance gives peace for today, courage for tomorrow, and a sure hope for the future.
