Everyone wants to be seen
Everyone longs to be seen, appreciated, and loved. Yet many people feel alone. Behind a smile there may be sadness, worries, or a deep sense of loneliness. Perhaps you recognize that too. That is why the Bible shows that genuine love can make a tremendous difference. A kind word, a listening ear, or a small act of kindness can give someone fresh courage and inspire new hope.
A message that still speaks today
The apostle Paul wrote these words nearly two thousand years ago to the Christians in Rome. That church was made up of people from different backgrounds and cultures. As a result, tensions sometimes arose among them. Paul encouraged them not to think only of themselves, but to serve one another with respect, humility, and love. That message is just as important today. In a society where success and personal interests often come first, God invites us to see people as He sees them—precious and deeply valuable.
Love becomes visible in everyday life
You see it when members of a church visit one another, pray together, and offer a helping hand. You also see it when a neighbor spends time with someone who is lonely, a co-worker listens to a friend who is struggling, or a young person helps an older person with everyday tasks. Simple acts of kindness show that love is much more than words.
Choose love today
Perhaps someone needs your attention today. Don't wait for a special moment. One small act of kindness can change someone's day—and sometimes even change a life. When God's love fills our hearts, we begin to look at people differently. Then we become people who bring hope, peace, and encouragement.
