1 Chronicles 9:1 (Contemporary English Version)
"The names of all the people of Israël were listed in the official records. The people of Judah had been taken away to Babylonia because they had not been faithful to God."

God has not forgotten your story

Your life has value

Perhaps you sometimes feel unnoticed or wonder whether your life really makes a difference. In a world where success and achievement often receive the most attention, that is understandable. Yet the Bible tells a different story. The long lists of names in Chronicles remind us that no one is forgotten by God. Behind every name is a life, a story, and a future. God knows your name, your sorrow, your questions, and your hopes. To Him, you are precious.

A message from history

The book of Chronicles was written after many Israelites returned from exile in Babylon. They had lost their homeland and spent many years living as strangers. Many wondered whether God had forgotten them. The writer reminded them of their family history and of God's faithfulness. The genealogies showed that God's promises still stood. Despite their failures, God still knew His people, and His plan continued.

God is still writing today

Many people today also feel forgotten because of a difficult childhood, illness, loss, or loneliness. Yet God still works through ordinary people. In churches, newcomers are welcomed, the sick are visited, and people are encouraged through prayer and care. In society, neighbors look after one another, co-workers take time to listen, and volunteers serve those who need help. Through these simple acts, we see that every person is valuable.

Final thought

Perhaps you do not know what your future holds, but God knows your whole story. He will never let you go, and His love never changes. As you trust Him, He gives hope for today and strength for tomorrow. I will never leave you or desert you.” This is God's promise to everyone who places their trust in Him.
