Hold firm to the truth
Not everything is what it seems
Sometimes it is difficult to know what is true. Every day we hear many opinions and beliefs. Things that sound kind, attractive, or convincing are not always right. God does not want to make you afraid. He wants to help you live wisely. He invites you to stay close to Jesus. As you learn to recognize His voice, you will become better at telling the difference between truth and deception. That brings peace, even in uncertain times.
A message from history
The apostle John wrote the book of Revelation while he was a prisoner on the island of Patmos because he remained faithful to Jesus. Christians in the Roman Empire were under great pressure to worship the emperor as a god. Those who refused were often rejected or persecuted. During that difficult time, God revealed that a spiritual battle was taking place behind the visible events. At the same time, He gave the assurance that Christ would ultimately be victorious and that His truth would stand forever.
He still shows the way today
People today are influenced by social media, news, advertising, and popular ideas. Even within churches, words may sound inspiring without truly pointing people to Jesus. Yet we also see churches reading the Bible together, praying for one another, and encouraging each other to remain close to Christ. In society, many Christians choose to live honestly, even when it is difficult. In this way, God's truth becomes visible in everyday life.
Final thought
No matter how much the world around you changes, Jesus Christ remains the same. He knows you, leads you, and will never leave you. His Word is a trustworthy light for every step you take. “Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness.” (Contemporary English Version, cf. John 8:12).
